Qatar Airways has officially announced many capacity upgrades to its IATA S17 medium and long haul route network of which the main highlights are as follows: HKT - frequencies increased from 11 weekly to double daily nonstop ISB - capacity increased from daily A320 + daily A330 to daily B77L + daily A330 BRU - capacity increased from daily B788 to daily A359 LOS - capacity increased from daily A332 to daily A333 BLR - capacity increased from daily A333 to daily B77W
In a move that seems to be directly aimed at Hong Kong Airlines impending launch of their own daily nonstop HKG-YVR services, Cathay Pacific has officially announced that they shall be increasing their Vancouver bound flights from the current double daily to 17 weekly nonstop effective 28MAR17. The 3 additional flights will be operated using their new A350-900 in a 2 class configuration with the schedule being as follows: Days - TUE/THU/SAT CX 856 Dep HKG 1100 Arr YVR 0755+1 CX 855 Dep YVR 0925 Arr HKG 1345 P2P demand between YVR and HKG over the past 12 months has been 340,000 passengers i.e. an increase of 23% year over year
